# Quickstart

> Go from sign-up to your first finished task in a few minutes.

**1. Sign up**

Go to [surething.io](https://surething.io) and sign up. New accounts start with free credits — no card required. See [Plans and credits](/docs/plans-and-credits.md).

**2. Pick an agent or start a project**

Browse the agent catalog and install one that matches your goal — for example content writing, SEO monitoring, or competitor research. Installing an agent puts it in a [project](/docs/features/projects.md). You can also create an empty project and just start chatting.

**3. Connect the apps it needs**

When an agent needs access to a tool — Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, your social accounts — it asks you to connect it. You can also connect apps ahead of time from **Integrations** in the sidebar. See [Connect your apps](/docs/integrations/connect-apps.md).

**4. Describe what you want**

In the project's **Conversation** view, describe the outcome in plain language. The agent plans the steps, uses your connected tools, and reports back as it goes.

**5. Review and approve**

Emails, calendar invites, and social posts come back as [approval cards](/docs/features/approvals.md). Edit them if you like, then send — or discard.

**6. Put it on repeat**

If the task should happen regularly, ask the agent to turn it into a [routine](/docs/features/routines.md) — daily, weekly, or whenever a matching email arrives.

> [!TIP]
>
> Be specific about the result you want and where it should go — "a weekly traffic summary posted to #marketing every Monday at 9am" works better than "track my traffic".
